Aerial Mesh Networks
Mobile Ad-Hoc Network
Our drones all contain a powerful software defined radio system capable of scalable self-forming and self-healing Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) networks with dynamic routing and fail-over. This system provides communication for the drones and ground station as well as delivering a private, secure internet solution in remote areas or unforgiving geography. Along with the ability to create an ultra large WAN it has several features useful to both drone operators and users on the ground including the following:
GPS Denied Navigation
Aircraft inertial measurement units and photogrammetry of the terrain allow for precise navigation, at any time of day, in all weather conditions. Our drones get to where they need to go regardless of external timing signals.
Advanced Signals and real time AI Processing
Our radio options span nearly every legal range of frequencies and powers. Our extensive experience in AI and signals allow Lorica Technologies to develop custom solutions for law enforcement and government agencies allowing them to gather the required data though pioneering and novel means.
Radio Direction Finding and Listening
Our aircraft and radios have the ability to simply listen for signals, in the case of missing persons in remote areas, using multiple aircraft and triangulation and trilateration algorithms to locate persons based solely on the signals their personal devices are emitting. As little as a single aircraft and ground station can generally locate a fixed target.
